City of Rocks.

Despite being a mere two-and-a-half hours from Salt Lake, I somehow had never made it out to City of Rocks, Idaho, until just a few weekends ago. It's a renowned climbing destination, but since I'm not much of a rock jock, it wasn't really on my radar. However, it is a pretty amazing spot and definitely worth checking out. You're driving through the flats of northern Utah and southern Idaho for a couple hours, flanked by a repetitive sea of hills, farms, and grassland, when suddenly you find yourself surrounded by massive granite formations everywhere, erupting straight out of the ground in spectacular fashion. Some people from my work put together a little gathering, so we headed down to join them for a night. Although we were only there for a bit, I managed to snag a few photos. Enjoy.
